Episode Eight: Costco Countdown – “We go through it”

In this week’s episode, we talk about the Shamrock Shuffle 8K we’re about to run in Chicago, and give our predictions on how we’ll do.

In the Weigh-in segment, we finally have a week where we BOTH lost weight – but Tab still doesn’t trust it.

The Freestyle topic of the week was “Plan your Meals”, and we talk about how that can be aspirational, or intimidating, depending on how you look at it. We also share what meal planning means to us.

We also share our Costco Top Ten – the ten things we always, always buy when we’re at Costco. We truly believe that preparing our fridge and pantry this way has contributed to our success. If we’ve missed your favorite Costco buy, let us know what it is!

Costco Top Ten Grocery List

  1. Fruit and Vegetables
  2. Fish & Chicken
  3. Yogurt
  4. Eggs
  5. Jimmy Dean Breakfast Sandwiches
  6. Kirkland Chicken Tortilla Soup
  7. Frozen Chicken Cilantro Wontons
  8. Chef’s Cut Chicken Jerky
  9. Premiere Protein
  10. La Croix (or other fancy water)
Honorable Mentions:
  1. Inno Foods Coconut Clusters
  2. Gum
  3. San Francisco Bay Keurig Coffee Pods

In the Recipe Corner this week, we give you a Air Fried Broccoli variation using ginger, garlic, and PB Fit (or PB2).

Next episode, we’ll share our tips for keeping working out from being such a drag. And speaking of working out, we’ll let you know how our Shamrock Shuffle went!

Thanks to all you, our listeners, we’re fast approaching our tenth episode, and we want to hear from you! We’d love to know what YOU’D love to know. As us anything! We’ll take your topic suggestions, too.

    1. Oops, missed this!
Honestly we just toss the broccoli in a bowl, spray it down with cooking spray and throw in whatever spices strike our fancy and give it a toss.
Throw it in a preheated air fryer at the highest heat and then cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
We like cumin and garlic salt, PBFit and garlic salt, curry with turmeric and garlic salt (seeing a trend?)…
